Their goal is to help 1,000 people before Winter with the Hugs Backpack Drive.
For someone experiencing homelessness, a backpack becomes a place to safely carry every day essentials. Each Hugs Backpack represents comfort and dignity as they’re carefully packed with practical necessities like warm socks, gloves, blankets, hygiene essentials, water bottles, and a handwritten “Message of Hope”—these are one of the most meaningful additions, a few kind words can remind someone that they are seen, valued, and not alone.
